The Universal
The Universal is big, constantly evolving and often very strange - a free, massively multiplayer online game with a different experience on every planet you visit - full of constantly changing downloadable content and dynamic environments.
he space part of the game is the most recent extension, and hence much of it is incomplete or missing yet - the core of the game is still the worlds - each is a full game in its own right, with an infinite amount of configurability. Each world is a separate server program - some are run by players, some by staff, some are based on persistent world type economies, some on fighting or racing, some are good, some are crap, some are unfinished, some are dead. So basically just your standard sci-fi universe.. Ultimately, the space section will be extended with ship-to-ship combat, galactic trade systems, more ship types and upgrades etc. etc.
In the galaxy, the worlds are grouped into Star Systems ... there are usually between 1 and 5 planets in each star system. The galaxy is made up of about 500 star systems,
